As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to monitor and evaluate academic performance in colleges of physical education and sports sciences, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad welcomed the ministerial committee for academic and scientific evaluation on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, for its annual assessment visit for the academic year 2024–2025.
The visit included a comprehensive field tour to review the educational process, infrastructure, curricula, and administrative and academic performance within the college. The committee also examined documentation in accordance with the evaluation form adopted by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus, ensuring alignment with academic quality and accreditation standards.
The ministerial committee commended the college administration, headed by Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, along with the academic and administrative staff, for their dedication to organizing the educational process, developing academic programs, and contributing to the advancement of scientific research. The committee further praised the college’s active role in preparing qualified professionals in the field of physical education and sports sciences.
This visit reflects the Ministry’s commitment to fostering direct engagement with Iraqi universities and enhancing academic performance in line with quality standards and continuous development, in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
